Pete Bowden (Gilbert + Tobin)

Pete is a partner and the co-head of Gilbert + Tobin’s Restructuring and Insolvency group. He has significant experience advising hedge funds, financiers, banks (traditional and investment banks), insolvency practitioners, creditors and debtors on restructuring, distressed debt transactions, workouts, insolvency, distressed M&A and stressed banking transactions.

An INSOL Fellow, Pete has significant international experience including working in Tokyo for a leading global law firm as well as acting on numerous high-profile cross-border transactions.

As Co-head, Pete has played a lead role in building the national team and practice which has seen significant growth in the team and its profile advising on most of the market leading transactions in the region.

Eric Morris, Retail and Consumer business executive

Eric is a former CEO with 35+ years of experience leading retail and consumer businesses through transformation, disruption, and growth.

In 2005, Eric started The PAS Group under Private Equity and successfully led the organization to an ASX listing in 2014, marking a significant milestone in the journey. Following the merger of The PAS Group and Brand Collective in March 2022, Eric assumed the role of CEO of the combined group, now known as Brand Collective.

Eric now holds board roles in businesses spanning retail, consumer goods, and adjacent sectors, where he helps guide strategic direction, digital transformation, and long-term value creation. He is also the co- founder of Albany Advisory, an advisory business focusing on Digital Transformation and Customer strategy.


Edwin Clark

Ed worked in professional services for over 14 years across both formal and informal engagements. After a number of interim CFO roles while still in professional services, he made the jump to the commercial side and is now CFO for one of Melbourne's larger hospitality groups, Trader House, with venues such as Gimlet, Supernormal and Marion Wine Bar. Throughout his career, Ed has advised numerous ASX listed companies, all major banks and alternative financiers.
