The TMA NOW Committee invites you to the TMA NOW Leadership Development Workshop - A leadership-capability workshop for the next generation of female restructuring professionals.
Focus & objective: the communication capability and confidence emerging leaders need to be heard, carry influence and hold their ground in the high-pressure conversations restructuring work demands.
Restructuring work tests both your strategic communication capability and presence, in conversations that are rarely comfortable, where ambiguity is high and critical moments matter.
This workshop focusses on deliberately building both your capability for strategic communications and the confidence to use it when under pressure.
Developed especially for restructuring and turnaround use cases, we’ll be diving into how to create clarity and influence in your messaging, with composure and presence whilst you deliver. Each person can bring a real, high-stakes conversation into the room so we can pressure-test and practice these skills live.
Participants are expected to leave feeling more confident, with an enhanced toolkit for communicating with impact.

Julia Van Graas
Having built her career in high-stakes restructuring and turnaround with senior roles at AlixPartners, KordaMentha and EY, Julia knows first-hand what it takes to shift from a technically excellent professional to leveling up as a leader known for impact.
She’s spent decades working alongside senior executives in complex situations, where reading the room and communicating under pressure determine outcomes. Having been told early in her career she was ‘too nice’, she’s passionate about supporting women thrive in high pressure environments and finding their confidence to lead for impact when it matters most.
Julia is a cofounder of Leaders on Demand and an advisor to CEOs, Boards and executive teams. She’s a Chartered Accountant, graduate of the AICD and a certified organisational coach.
